FaceTime For Android

The FaceTime App is an audio and video calling service available on Apple devices. FaceTime App makes calls using the WiFi network, instead of using the current balance or validity. Through the FaceTime app, you can even make a call without a SIM card or balance.

FaceTime is simply a video or voice call service. While it keeps away those on Android and Windows, it gives more freedom to those who have iOS or Mac devices. Therefore, if you want to use the FaceTime app on Android, you can follow the following instructions.

How To Use FaceTime On An Android Device?

Apple finally made FaceTime compatible with Android phones. Android users can’t download the FaceTime app from the Google Play Store, but video calling is available. Here’s how it works.

  • If you want to use FaceTime on an Android device, you’ll need a supported browser (such as Google Chrome) and a friend or family member with an iOS, iPad, or macOS device.
  • Users of iOS 15, iPad OS 15, or higher can open the FaceTime app on their iPhone or iPad and choose “Create Link.” They can then share the link with you however they wish.
  • When they’re using macOS 12 Monterey or newer, they can find the “Create Link” button at the top of the FaceTime app.
  • They can then share the FaceTime link with you using any messaging platform.

  • Here is where Android devices enter the picture. For joining the call, you will receive a link to facetime.apple.com.
  • You can open the link on your Android phone or tablet with Google Chrome. You will need to enter your name and tap “Continue.”
  • Then select “Join” from the floating toolbar. Your request to join will need to be accepted by the person with an iPhone, iPad, or Mac who sent you the link.
  • You’ll see the typical video conference controls at the top of your screen when you’re in. Among these are making the video full-screen, muting your microphone, showing or hiding your video, and flipping the camera.
  • On your Android device, you’re now in a basic FaceTime call. When you’re done, tap the screen to bring up the toolbar again and select “Leave.”
